A Day With Family

As I stated in yesterday's post, today I went to visit my dad's side of the family. Overall it was a typical family get together for us.

My great aunt was in and out of the room trying to prepare the food. She, as my other great aunt stated, 'made enough to feed an army' and we all knew she would even though she stated that there wasn't enough.

My four year old cousins spent quite a lot of time running around, my sister chased after them!

After eating we ate a whole load of cake that another of my great aunts had made. It was chocolate cake. And it was amazing.

My dad, his cousin, my uncles and great uncles spend most of the time joking around and making extremely stupid jokes.

At the end of the evening we were all crowded into the front room. All 15 of us. I had one of my cousins sat on my lap, drawing until she decided she was tired and curled up on my lap, her arms around my neck, head on my shoulder and fell asleep

At the end of the evening we exchanged presents. It was pretty much a typical family get together.
