My Summer Favourites

I haven't written a favourites post in a while- I guess I've done different variations, but I don't think that I've done anything directly linked to new and current favourites. Some of these products are ones that I started using before I went on holiday but all of them are ones that I decided I loved while I was away.

My first product is one that I've mentioned before, the Dr PawPaw original multi-purpose balm, and I love it. I don't think that it has any SPF- although I had another product that I was using for that purpose- but this balm is so useful. I mainly use it as a lip balm but you can also use it around your nails, to protect cuts and soothe dry skin. It is pretty much a staple in my bag. I found that it was especially useful to use on cuts as the sea was quite rocky and I kept hitting my knees!

I have used argan oil on my hair before but not as a part of my hair routine but I'm glad that I tried it because my hair has never felt better. I'm not exaggerating. This particular one is buy Mark Hill, but I am definitely going to try other products to see if it is something about this brand or if argan oil works well with my hair in general.

I decided to try using argan oil because I coloured my hair and I wanted to protect it. It left my hair feeling soft and looking shiny- almost as good as it feels after you've been to the hairdressers. At first I wondered if this was due to the combination of using it with the shampoo and conditioner that I was using, but I have used it with different products since returning home and the effect is still the same. I will definitely continue using argan oil for a long time.

This photograph makes it look like I've barely used this product, but that's probably because I feel like a little goes a long way. The sent of this product- the Delicious Destinations #BeachBabe body mist- is quite strong. It smells like pineapple, I was using it with a coconut body lotion which, to me, made it smell quite tropical. I think that it is a perfect scent for holiday and summer.

I brought this eyeshadow palette just before I went away because I wanted something small and easy to pack, but also with a good range of summery colours. This is the Peach Dreams palette form Primark and it is a lot better than I was expecting. The colour payoff it really good, there are a good range of colours that fit together well and although there was a small amount of fallout in the palette I didn't notice any fallout on my face.

The Peach Dreams eyeshadow palette is extremely affordable- £3 for 9 shades. There are a few pinky colours, an orange and a yellow. Some of the colours are matte and others are shimmery- but have good pigmentation and they blend easily. The colours can be used in a variety of combinations but they are all colours that fit together well.

This one isn't as much a summer favourite as it is a holiday favourite. This Polaroid camera is waterproof and it was actually an impulse buy last year before I went to Zante. I actually got this on ebay and it was a good price for a good quality camera that had barely been used- I also got my big camera on there too, so if you are looking for an affordable camera then you might want to check ebay. I enjoyed using it on my last holiday, so it came with me again this time and it was actually so worth it. There were so many fish and I managed to get some pretty good pictures.

This is the Spectrum of Stars eyeshadow in Sea Glare by Teeez Cosmetics. I don't usually use green eyeshadow, because I didn't think that it really suited me, but I received it in a beauty box and after noticing the name I knew that I had to take it with me. It is a shimmery eyeshadow and while it isn't initially a strong colour payoff, it is buildable and it is good for a swipe of colour to brighten or add something to an eye look.

My final product is the thisworks in transit camera close-up- it claims to be a face mask, moisturiser and primer in one. I used it last year while I was away and I really loved it, so I decided that I wanted to take it with me again. I think that it is a really good travel moisturiser and base for makeup. I usually prefer a lighter, thinner moisturiser and although it felt fairly thick, I found that it made my skin feel quite hydrating (perfect for using after a plane journey).

It doesn't have SPF, so I did take another moisturiser to use during the day but this was my go to moisturiser before applying makeup and I would definitely take this with me if I went on a holiday or trip in the UK as my primary moisturiser.

I hope that you enjoyed this blog post and that maybe it has given you some ideas for products that you might like to buy.

Love you all xoxo
