My Most Used Makeup
This blog post was actually written before lockdown, but in the panic of getting my uni assignments completed I forgot that it existed. So, here is the blog post that's been sat in my drafts for way too long...
I was looking though my makeup collection last week as I was putting some makeup that I'd taken home with me away, and I realised that I do seem to choose the same items repetitively. That's mainly because I know I love them, and while I'm open to testing new products and finding new favourites, I will probably always have particular products that I will choose to use time and time again.
I know that I've written similar posts to this in the past, such as discussing my 'Holy Grail' products, however this will be slightly different and a little bit more up-to-date. My favourite products do change, and that could be because of the time of year or my preferences are different. But, in this post I will be sharing with you the most used makeup in my collection.
I thought that I would start off by talking about my base makeup. I found that it would make the most sense, as this is the order I'd apply my makeup in.
Rimmel London Match Perfection Foundation
I know I've talked about this foundation many times before, but so far its the only foundation that I've purchased multiple bottles of. The colour is a perfect match for me, it blends so easily, it is buildable with a decent coverage and I just think it makes my skin look really even. It's the perfect base for the rest of my makeup.
I find that it is a really good foundation for a reasonable price, and I'd highly recommend it. I've tried a few different foundations, but I always go back to this one!

Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
This is another product that I've mentioned a few times, and again that is because it works for me. The issue with this concealer is that the shade range isn't very good. This was a product that was raved about and still is by some, however is isn't quite as full coverage as everyone said it was, but it is buildable.
I find that it blends quite easily, if you do it straight after applying, otherwise it can get a little bit more difficult. However, other than that it covers problem areas quite well, its brightening, it doesn't sit heavy on my face and overall it is a really good concealer.

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder
I've repurchased this one a few times, it is the best powder I've tried. It sets my makeup perfectly, I don't think it makes my makeup look cakey. My forehead tends to get a little oily, but I find that this powder lasts most of the day.
It is extremely affordable, and while a more expensive might do a better job, this one does the job for an affordable price. I also use it to blend out my bronzer and blush if I apply it a little too dark, and it works well for this as well as setting my makeup.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer
I've been using this bronzer for a while now, and I do really like it. It blends well, it's pigmented and gives you a warm glow. I have a couple of bronzers, but this is the one I always reach for- whether I'm going to uni, going on a night out or on holiday.
However, it is quite expensive. I'm not sure that I would purchase it for myself, bearing in mind that I am a student and I don't have a lot of money. There are other bronzers that I like for a more affordable price, however this one is fantastic and if you have the money it is a product that I would wholeheartedly recommend.

Soap and Glory Supercat Eyeliner
My next product is my favourite eyeliner, while this isn't one that I use on an everyday basis (that is a job for my trusty No7 Stay Perfect Amazing Eyes Pencil, which I unfortunately forgot to include in this photo) this is the one I tend to reach for if I fancy winged eyeliner.
I love eyeliner, and if you know me well you can vouch for that. Out of everything in my makeup collection, I think I have one too many eyeliners (other than maybe lipsticks... I have a lot of those too) but this one is my favourite. I was first given this by my sister, who already had one when she was gifted this, and it was one that I'd wanted to try for a while.
And it didn't let me down. I find that it is one of the only ones that doesn't smudge throughout the day, it dries quickly, it's pigmented and it glides on. So I'd thoroughly recommend this eyeliner to anyone.

No7 Lash Extender Mascara
This mascara has run out now, but honestly it was one of the best I ever used and I found myself reaching for it no matter the occasion. It was a little clumpy, especially towards the end, but you could easily solve that- and while that isn't everyone's cup of tea, if you like a bit of a clump, then this is a good mascara for you.
It isn't the most affordable, and sure there are other mascaras for a more pocket friendly price, but this one is one that I'd definitely choose if I could pick any mascara. I've found that No7 in general are great, but their mascaras have been some of my favourite on the market for some time now. So if you don't mind the price, they you should definitely give it a go.

Natural Collection Brow Kit
Eyebrows are a big part of my makeup routine- no matter what I will always do something to groom my eyebrows as part of my makeup routine. While I switch through some eyebrow products, this one has remained a constant in my draw for at least 4 years (although I do regularly buy a new one).
Although I don't tend to use the brush it comes with, choosing a thinner angled brush instead, the products it comes with (a powder and a wax) are fantastic. They're pigmented, I don't find them too patchy and they're extremely affordable. Unfortunately, they don't seem to come in a variety of shades and while this may work for me, it might not be for everyone, but if it could work for you it is a really good, cheap product.

Revlon Kiss Balm (Cherry)
This is a product that came in a pack of 5 that my mum found on Groupon and it is a purchase that I'm glad for. I carry this in my bag everywhere. It is moisturising and it provides a nice sheen of colour; so it's perfect for those longer days where lipstick just isn't going to last.
Unfortunately, I can't find this anymore, which is a shame because I use it a lot, but if anyone knows any other (perhaps similar) products that they would recommend, then please comment them below. I'd love to hear about them.
Collection Velvet Kiss Moisturising Lip Cream in Caramel
I've talked about this product a few times, and I don't know when I'll stop. Some days just call for a nice matte lipstick and this one is perfect for any occasion. It is a neutral colour, it takes a while to dry down, it is pigmented and it applies easily. I've found that it lasts quite a while and when it starts to feel a little dry, you can just apply another layer and you're good to go.
It is a good alternative to the NYX soft matte lip creams (which I love) however there isn't a massive colour range. But it works just as well and it is very affordable. So if you're interested in trying a matte liquid lipstick that isn't too drying but stays matte, then this is the one for you.

I hope you enjoyed this post, and that all of you are staying safe in these unfortunate and unusual times.
Love you all xoxo
