Small Beauty Haul and Reviews
My local Superdrug has recently moved to a larger location and it seems to have expanded its makeup collection... and it is amazing. I thought, as I had some money, that I needed some new makeup.
I didn't get too much, but I am really happy with what I bought. I got two new matte liquid lipsticks, a body spray, a new foundation and some new beauty blenders (although they were from Primark).
The Impulse body spray in 'Instant Crush' is actually something that I have repurchased. It is a light fragrance and isn't over powering so it's something that you can wear everyday. I love it. It is quite sweet, fruity yet floral. I find that is is a suitable Summer scent.
I have been trying to find the perfect matte liquid lipstick that I am easily able to afford. I really liked the range of colours in the MUA Luxe Velvet lip lacquer and they were a really good price, £3. (I got 2 because they are 2 for £5 in Superdrug at the moment)
I got them in the shades 'Elegance' (top) and 'Dash' (bottom).

They smell amazing and it is a solid, bold colour. It dries quickly, it doesn't transfer between my lips or onto anything once it's dry. It doesn't crack when I talk, it isn't patchy and you only need only layer to coat your lips evenly. I wore it for 3 hours and it stayed intact until I removed it, however I don't know how it would last for any longer.
When I tried applying more than one layer it became tacky, it cracked and it rubbed off in bits, however I dind't actually need more than one layer. This means that it isn't easy to top up. I believe that if your lips are quite dry it may crack. But I really like them.
I will be buying more!
I decided that I wanted a new foundation because currently I am using a BB cream and foundation combined to match my skin tone. I thought that I would try this foundation because I had seen it recommended by Youtubers and bloggers. I wanted to see it is was as good as it had been made out to be.
This is a medium coverage foundation but I find that it needs to be built up to get a medium coverage (however, you are able to do so.) It feels lightweight and I didn't need much powder to set it. It is the perfect match for my skin tone. It definitely lives up to expectations.
These beauty blenders are from Primark. They are 2 for £1.50 but I think that they work really well. They did smell a little odd but they blend my foundation easily so i'm not going to complain about the price.
Love you all xoxo
