Beauty tips!

I am going to share a few of the tips and advice that I have learn't over the years when it comes to healthy skin and make up!

1. When using a new product make sure that you test it first on a patch of skin, like behind your ear or on your wrist, before applying to your face, especially if you are known for sensitive skin, because you don't want to use it and find out you're allergic to it and have a rash on your face!

2. Using a tinted moisturiser is better that a foundation as it looks much more natural and makes your skin feel more refreshed, it feels lighter and makes your skin feel more hydrated. I haven't got any tinted moisturiser at the moment so I mix my foundation with moisturiser and its better that piling foundation on but not as good as the actual thing, so I would defiantly recommend that!

3. If you are beginning to feel stressed or you just want to relax, pour yourself a bath, use a face mask (I would recommend lush bath bombs, bubble bars and face masks for this) and relax in your most cosy pyjamas while reading or watching your favourite movies! The face masks will really help cleanse your skin and so tighten pores!

4. Make sure to test that your foundation, concealer, bronzer and other powders all match your skin tone as there is nothing worse than your make up looking patchy and your face looking much darker than the rest of your skin!

5. It is said that you can develop wrinkles on one side of your face more than the other, it is caused by sleeping on one side. I don't often sleep on my side, I'm odd and I sleep on my back or front most of the time, but if you do sleep on your side this might be the cause for developing wrinkles on the one side of your face. I'm a bit young to be worrying about wrinkles but the article I read said that silk pillow cases and anti-ageing products can help with this problem!

6. When you are a teenage you are likely to struggle with spots and that is mostly down to the junk food that is addictive and hard to stop eating. I am trying to cut down on it and I make sure to eat my 5-a-day. But spots are common so a way to reduce them is to wash your face with special formulated face wash, and maybe use a spot gel!

7. Another reason why tinted moisturiser is better than foundation. I read an article a couple of years ago that said foundation, although used to hide spots, clogs pores and causes blemishes. so if you really need to cover spots concealer and tinted moisturisers are your best options!

8. Use a rich hand moisturiser to keep your hands smooth and soft, especially in the winter as the cold air dry's your hands!

9.  If you want a natural make-up look. Pale pinks and nudes are your best options. Some pinks can give you that slightly sun kissed look. These colours can also just make you look more awake and refreshed!

10. When you shower in the mornings, settle with a citrus shower gel. It can make you feel more refreshed, awake and ready for the day while cleansing your skin!
