Cornish Pasties Recipe

I made these in school for my catering controlled assessment when I was in year 11. I really enjoyed them and I found the recipe and photograph on my laptop while sorting through my files and I thought I would share them with you!

Ingredients-

So first of all for the pastry you need 200g plain flour and 100g hard margarine.
and for the filling you will need 200g diced beef, steak is best, 70g diced swede, 80g diced carrots, 60g diced onions and 150g diced potatoes

Method-

first of all pre-heat the oven to 180 ͦc.

For the pastry-

-        Rub together the butter and flour until it forms fine bread crumbs and then add water a little at a time and mix together with a knife until it sticks together. Then roll out the pastry evenly- pushing it into shape. cut out some circles to what ever size you want and make as many circles as you can from your pastry.

      For the filling-

-        add the diced steak, swede, carrots, onions and potatoes into the pastry and then fold it over and press it down at the edges, you can use a little water to glue it down, and then place each of them on a baking tray. Place in a the oven and leave for 35-40 mins.

Love You All xoxo
