Handling Stress
It's getting closer and closer to my exams and those of you who are also taking major exams know just how stressful it can get. The teachers do seem to load stress on you and I've have a few teachers complain about how stressful it is on them.
I was so stressed it maths on Wednesday that as soon as I didn't get something I began to panic and before I knew it I was crying. This isn't the first time either- but it happens and you are bound to get stressed. But try not to panic too much because it only makes it worse, trust me I know.
My first tip for you is if you have other things causing you stress or you feel you aren't handling the pressure very well then talk to someone. There is nothing worse than keeping it in your shoulders and suffering in silence.
My second tip is if you are getting too stressed and starting to panic then breathe. Steady your breathing to calm yourself and give your self a small break before attempting it again.
While we're on the topic of giving yourself a break, my third tip is to take a break. Don't do too much it a long period of time. Give your self breaks in between and don't over work yourself.
Following that I advise that you arrange a day off from your revision or a couple of hours. Go and do something with your friends or family for a while.
I find that music really helps me so, if you are like me, put together a play list of your favourite songs and listen to them. Zone out and forget about everything for a little while!
Manage your time. Organise what you are going to revise and when your exams are. Keep track of the time and give yourself free time. It will keep you from panicking and worrying about what you are going to do.
I have been told that exercise is a good way to reduce stress, but I have yet to test this theory.
I am an insomniac so this point doesn't really work for me, but try to get some more sleep. Go to sleep a little earlier, relax.
I do hope that at least one of these points helps you.
Thanks for reading.
Love you all xoxo
