Captain America Civil War Review
I would firstly like to apologise for my absence; I did plan a post that was supposed to go up last week but unfortunately I have had very little time to do so.
I am a complete Marvel girl through and through- so my excitement to see the newest Captain America film was extremely noticeable. After two weeks of trying to avoid the spoilers that a few of the boys in my school tried to provide me with, I finally got to see it.
I had been told that it was the best Captain America yet and while I feel that the first film- Captain America: The First Avenger- will always be my favourite, it certainly lived up to it's expectations.
The tension between Steve Rogers, Captain America, and Tony Stark, Iron Man, could truly be felt. I struggled to pick a side because although I do feel that they both had strong teams, Steve was fighting for freedom of choice; which, had they all accepted that agreement, they would not have.
I liked the additions of Vision and Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, along with Sam and Rhodey, to the Avengers. I also feel that adding the three extra characters- Ant Man, Black Panther and Spider Man- created a deeper sense of division in the once united team.
The action in this film was almost none stop and enough to keep you on the edge of your seats. The tension build up the film to the point of nail biting, however the humour and remarks throughout the film make in not only hilarious to some standards but also make in another true marvel masterpiece. Marvel films are known for the action, the tension, the humour, the effects and, I believe, the brilliant acting.
The whole film was packed with action and the storyline was strong, not boring or sleep inducing, and creative. And of course Stan Lee's predictable performance was hilarious and memorable, it wouldn't be a Marvel film with out Stan Lee!
In my opinion, it was totally worth the wait. It was absolutely fantastic and for those who have yet to see it I recommend you do so soon.
Love you all xoxo
