June Favourites

I have narrowed down 14 products that have become my favourites for this month out of a large range. There isn't a large variety of different types if products- but I have tried to stick to more summery items. I haven't had a chance to go shopping for summer things just yet so I had to make do with what I own (which is mostly winter items, like my wide range of darker lipsticks) and these are the products that I narrowed down.

I would also like to apologise for the quality of the photographs but I don't have the best camera, or lighting, or photography skills.

I don't really own that many summer shades in terms of lipsticks, mostly because I don't happen to
think that they suit me. I do own two pink lipsticks which I do quite like and can pair with a few outfits. However, I do blend them with lip gloss to tone them down.

I have picked 2 lipsticks and one lip gloss out of my going out collection (the only other collection I have is school neutrals but I didn't include either of the two in this collection because at the time they happened to be downstairs in my school blazer.)

The first lipstick is one of my Primark matte lipsticks, in red. I love Primark lipsticks, the quality of the colour, how long lasting they are and they are actually quite moisturising. It is actually a much brighter red on my lips but that doesn't show up as much in the picture.

The second lipstick is a Rimmel London lipstick in 020 Shake Up Pink. It is quite a bright pink, which again isn't shown in the picture, and I do have to tone it down when I wear it.

The lip gloss is 'Carousel' from Tanya Burr's collection. It is actually lighter on your lips than it looks. I think it is quite moisturising and I usually wear it over other lipsticks. I also think it smells like coconut.

I own quite a few summery nail varnishes and although there are only two coloured ones here, I can't
find my all time favourite one. So for now you are going to have to settle for seeing my other favourites.

My first favourite is my Rimmel London 'I Sweetie Heart Matte' in '003 Cheeky Chap' which is a bright blue. I love matte nail varnishes and this one is no exception. It is long lasting however it doesn't seem to agree with too many coats as it doesn't try as well or evenly.

My second favourite is my Essie 'Fierce, No Fear'. It is an earthy brown and if, like me, you aren't allowed to wear nail varnish to school but don't like not wearing any to cover your nails then this if a good one as it isn't quite as noticeable.

The third nail varnish is my Loreal Paris Diamond Force nail base coat. It says that it reinforces and hardens weak and soft nails, with after using it since last summer, I think it does.

I have have an undying love for my Nivea soft moisturiser. It can be used for your face, hands and
body but I tend to use it for my face as part of my daily morning routine. It smells so fresh and I think it leaves my face soft and me feeling refreshed.

My second favourite is my Miss Sporty 'Morning Baby!' BB cream. Although it doesn't have the coverage I though it would, it does a good job of covering most blemishes. It has quite a light texture, so it doesn't make you feel caked in make up and is perfect for summer.

I have two favourite eye products this month. The first is my new trial mascara which my mum gave
to me after she won it. It is the Smashbox 'X-Rates' mascara volumateur. It has quite a unique brush shape, the bristles are close together but they are not so much in a circular shape. This means that there is more mascara on your eye lashes which makes them clump together slightly.

My second favourite product is this Lumiere Eyelid Base Eye Shadow. I prefer more neutral eye shadows- like nudes and browns- as it is more subtle. This eye shadow has a good pigmentation and is slightly shimmery, while still being very subtle and natural.

I absolutely love Lush, like most people do, and although I adore quite a lot of there products I do
have my all time favourite. The Dragon's Egg bath bomb. I love the sent, it reminds me of lemon drops. I actually buy it any time of the year but, as it carries that fresh citrus sent, it think it is summer appropriate.

I adore my Loreal Paris Elnett Satin hairspray. This particular one is Lumiere- Supreme Hold, Infinite
shine. I have always struggled with my hair, especially curling it. I now have a haircare routine that really helps, and this particular hairspray is the first one that I have found actually works. It holds the curls for hours. Although I am not particularly fond of the smell, it holds hairstyles so well that the smell doesn't really matter!

My favourite lip balm is my Nivea Raspberry Lip butter. It is hydrating, moisturising, long lasting and the smell is amazing.

My sunglasses are from Primark, they are simple but I think they look cute and they work quite well. They were only about £2 and I have used they a few times recently as we had a week of good sun before the rain came back.

If there are any products that you think I should try, leave the recommendation in the comments and I shall try it.

If there are any blog posts you would like to see, suggest them below and I will see if I can do them!

Love you all xoxo
