GCSE's and Interviews
I will start by apologising for my inconsistent blog posts- this past week has been extremely busy... but I do have some blog post planned for the next two weeks. You can probably guess the theme!
On the 25th of August I received my GCSE results. Up until I opened that envelope I had been nervous, terrified and extremely negative. I was convinced that, after my teachers had said that if I failed then I would be disappointing not only myself but my school and my family as well, that I had failed. Especially maths. But after my friend telling me that my results would be good and a lot of shaking I opened the envelope. I am extremely relieved and very happy- 4 C's and 6 B's- I passed everything!
Then on the 26th of August I had my college enrolment interview. I wasn't quite as nervous because I had the results I needed.
Just remember that if you have an interview without the results you needed that they will help you. They will help you find a new course and if you need to retake then they will sort that out. Don't panic, you don't need too! Remember that you have to stay in education until you are 18 so they can't turn you away if you haven't applied for any other college or sixth form!
If you have the results you needed then you are fine. You just show them your results, fill in a couple of forms and they will put you on the course you want to be on. If you are taking 3 A-Levels and some clash they will help you find another suitable course, but they will try to put you on your desired course!
I found the GCSE's extremely difficult and I was told by a few teachers that they were, so if you passed everything or even got higher than expected be proud of yourself! Celebrate! My family and I had a small party to celebrate!
Congratulations to everyone who got the GCSE (and A-Level) results that they wanted!
I'd also like to congratulate my cousin on his fantastic results, even though he will never see this!
Love you all xoxo
