My Holiday
I haven't posted anything recently, I have been extremely busy... however, because I have just come back from a weeks holiday I have a few blog posts plans. Starting with this one.
Last Wednesday at 8 am me and my family left our house for Manchester airport. This was my first time abroad and I am terrified of flying. It's not just the idea of being so high, or the fact that you only ever hear about the people that never made it home... it's mainly to do with the fact that I am claustrophobic. I have to sleep with some kind of light on so that I can see all the walls and know that they aren't closing in on me. So, the idea of being trapped in this tube of metal (I am aware it is not a tube) panicked me. I spent the take off and the landing and the turning clutching onto my sisters arm.
I still don't like the idea of flying, and now I've actually experienced it... I know I don't like it.
However, I didn't let it spoil my holiday.
We stayed at the Anastasia Beach Hotel in Cyprus. It was amazing. We were all inclusive- so, we had access to as much food as we wanted from each buffet (and there were five different buffets a day- breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner) as well as access to the pool and the waterpark (which others had to pay for), free drinks and ice cream and all of the other facility's the hotel had to offer. The staff were all really nice and kept on top of everything as well... And the cleaner made some really cool shapes out of the towels...
And the view was amazing. There were a lot of little beaches in walking distance, a slightly larger beach about 10/15 minutes away from the hotel, shops over the road, more shops (better for souvenirs) a 20 minute walk away (in the same area as the beach) and so many other things to do.
They offer a variety of water sports, a range of boat trips, the red bus tour and lots more.
The weather was perfect, the sea was so clear and it was altogether amazing!
