Review: Fudge Urban Colour

I love dying my hair and using different colours to express myself. I tend to prefer proper dyes over sprays and chalks, but I got this for Christmas and I wanted to try it.

When I first started colouring my hair I used sprays I'd bought from the pound shop. I'd had highlights put in a few times before and the dye clung to those areas. One of the worst things about them was that I would wake up with pink stained sheets- this was one thing that didn't happen.

The can it comes in is silver, splashed with a representation of the colour inside (in this case coral). The name of the brand and the name of the product are clearly given on the front of the can. Information included on the back included ingredients, the amount in the can and how to use the product... it is fairly straight forward.

I have fairly dark hair, so I didn't expect this to go completely to plan. It recommends that when you apply it you do so to dry, styled hair. I hadn't even brushed mine yet. I sprayed it from the distance advised and it was extremely pigmented and it matched the coral colour on the can.

I think that I need to work with this to actually get the hang of it. I also should have brushed my hair before applying it, because when I did I struggled. It had dried quickly and I was struggling to drag my brush through it- which was a problem.

Because my hair is dark and you are most likely not supposed to brush it out, it faded to an extremely light, pastel pink. You could barely see it.

The smell wasn't exactly pleasant, but the colour was solid and even. I think that had I not brushed most of it out it would have lasted well (because it stayed in as a light pink until it was washed out.)

So...

How much does it cost?

I didn't buy mine for myself, so I can't say how much my mum brought it for. However, I found it on Amazon for £5.40!

If you would like it, you can find it here!

Is it worth the money?

For £5.40? Yes! You can get a range of colours and experiment. It is a spray in and wash out product so perfect for a short term look!

Is it accessible?

I think Amazon can be used by most people, so I'd say so.

How does it compare to other products?

I have used pound world and superdrug's own hair sprays and I can say that they are more pigmented and even than a cheaper option.

I definitely prefer them to hair chalks!

I still prefer proper hair dyes, because they last longer... however these are great to experiment and play with. They are also good to try out if you are considering dying your hair but are nervous or unsure on what colour to go for!

Does it achieve it's purpose?

Yeah!

Would I repurchase it?

Definitely!

Love you all xoxo
