My Top Products Of The Year: 2019

I haven't posted anything for a while because I've been so busy with uni work, but I thought that I should definitely write something to mark the change of the year.

2019 has actually been a pretty decent year for me- I went to Greece, I moved out and I started uni, but that isn't what  I want to talk about; In this blog post I want to share my favourite products of the year. Some of them are products that I've been using since the beginning of the year, some of them are ones I've picked up along the way. I've tried to chose products that I either haven't talked about before or haven't covered much.

I decided to narrow down my favourites of this year to 6 products (I'll save the sixth one for last). My first favourite is (unfortunately) one that I can't find online, so I assume it has been discontinued. However, I am still writing about it to discuss the formula of the Revolution lipsticks. This particular one is a glitter liquid lipstick in the shade 'Cabaret'. I love the Revolution lipsticks as they have a really strong pigmentation, they feel comfortable to wear and I've found that they are long lasting. Even if this colour is no longer available, I would definitely recommend the Revolution lipsticks.

The next product that I've loved this year is the skinChemists Rose Quartz lip plumping lip gloss. I received this as a gift and when I looked it up I realised that it was quite expensive, but I've really enjoyed using it this year and I love the tingling feel that it leaves (although I know that isn't everyone's cup of tea). I feel like it does work to a certain degree, even if it's just the shine that provides that effect. I've found that it feels hydrating, it isn't too sticky and you can easily use it under or over another lip product. If you have the money and you are willing to buy it then I would recommend it and you can find it here.

If you don't want to spend the money, another (much more affordable) lip plumping product that I love it the Barry M 'That's Swell' lip gloss which you can find here

My third favourite product of this year is the Primark lip scrub in Pink Lemonade. It was affordable, and a fairly good dupe of the Lush lip scrubs, and it tastes quite nice. It is a really good product to prepare your lips for lipstick- especially if they're matte- and it leaves them feeling soft and smooth. So if you can find it or one like it, I would recommend that you buy it.

This eyeshadow palette is the Primark Peach Dream palette, and I have actually mentioned this before. I bought it in the summer when I wanted a small eyeshadow palette which would be easy to travel with (which it is). I was surprised with how good the colours are, they are pigmented and easy to blend and you do get a good choice. They were perfect summer shades, but I've also used them for other seasons as transition shades or party eye looks so I'd say that they are versatile. Primark sell a few palettes like this one and I'm looking forward to testing other shades.

My final product of the first five is the Brow Build Gel by BBB London. This was another product that I was gifted earlier this year and I've really enjoyed it. I still love Benefits Gimmie Brow, but more recently I've been reaching for this one. It is fairly expensive but I have yet to find an affordable eyebrow gel that works for me. (If you have any recommendations please let me know.) I think that it does a good job at setting, it provides colour and it seems to thicken my eyebrows so I am able to use it without using anything else if I want to. The only issue I've found is the size of the brush, it isn't as small as the Benefit Gimmie Brow brush so at times I have found it difficult to work with. But other than that, I really like it and if you want to try it, you can find it here

And my final and most favourite product of the year is...

The thisworks deep sleep pillow spray. I love thisworks products and this is one of my all time favourites of them. It is relaxing and calming, and I do actually believe that this has helped with my sleep- especially when I'm feeling anxious. All you have to do is spray it on your pillow before you go to sleep and relax. I've found that it works really well in combination with lavender roll-on's. If you want to try it you can find it here

What were your favourite products of this year?

Hope you enjoyed.

Love you all xoxo
